What is a Wauzer?

Wauzers are a hybrid dog produced by breeding a West Highland White Terrier and a Miniature Schnauzer. The Wauzer is a small dog with a shaggy appearance, button ears and a long tail. They make an excellent family dog, a great buddy and a sweet lap dog.

The Wauzer is a less commonly seen designer dog. As with most of these purposely bred mixed dogs they have two purebred parents. Although they have been around for over 40 years, these first generation mixed dogs have become increasingly popular over the last decade. They have been most popular in the UK.
